The vibes are immaculate. We are so back! People are feeling good about the direction of the city.
Would you say things in San Francisco are going in the right direction, or would you say they are off on the wrong track?
The vibes are good. We are so back.
For the first time since 2016, over 50% of San Franciscans say the city is on the right track. This is a significant increase from the 36% who felt that way in February 2025. This shift in sentiment is also reflected in Mayor Lurie's favorability, which has seen a notable increase.

Unions are widely seen as the most important political force in San Francisco, with strong support across various demographics. But the reality doesn't match that perception. While many voters express favorable views of unions, there is also a significant portion of the population that does not align with the unions or their priorities.
The Teacher's Union (United Educators of San Francisco) is typically seen as the union with the broadest support. But it may in fact indicate a high-water mark for union influence in the city: less than half of voters view the union favorably.
