Vision

GrowSF believes in a growing, beautiful, vibrant, healthy, safe, and prosperous San Francisco. We work to propose and pass laws that align incentives of private businesses and individuals to promote shared prosperity for every San Franciscan.

As a candidate for federal office, your day-to-day responsibilities in office will affect not just San Francisco, but California and the United States as a whole. As a representative of the people of California and of San Francisco, the policies you bring to Washington should reflect the best of what we have to offer.

This section of our questionnaire seeks to help us gain an understanding of your alignment with our vision for San Francisco. Note that some of the questions may be outside the scope of the office you're running for.

What are the top three issues facing San Francisco, California, or the Nation and what would you like to see change?

Safety is at the forefront for every San Franciscian, Californian and American. Reducing and eliminating crime and the drug markets will eliminate most of the City's problems. Ensuring the San Francisco Police Department and Sheriff's department along with first responders are fully staffed and supported is instrumental.

Tell us one thing you think needs to change in San Francisco, California, or the Nation that the average voter wouldn't know about.

San Francisco as well as the nation's voters are fairly educated. They may however be deceived or misinformed by the media, therefore, I encourage voters to cross reference the information they are receiving.

Policy

Now that we know where you align and differ from our vision for San Francisco, we'd like to get some details about how you intend to use your elected office to achieve your goals.

Why are you running for State Senate, District 11?

I have watched the deterioration of our city and state as a result of radical legislation being passed over the years. After a violent attack in the family and my children not being able to return to their family home safely, for weeks to several months, I have had enough. I can no longer sit back and watch the continuous decline of our city and state. Corrective legislation needs to be implemented to improve public safety for every resident and visitor of San Francisco, the Bay Area and California.

What is your #1 policy goal?

Public Safety.

How will you build the coalition and political capital to enact your #1 goal? By writing legislation and building bridges with all sides of the political spectrum. Our city and state is crying out for corrective measures and positive change.

Will the power of the office of State Senate, District 11 be enough to achieve this goal?

Yes.

What are your #2 and #3 policy goals?

Economic revitalization - Reducing regulations and taxation to stimulate the economy as well as reduce inflation.

Education of our youth- Our children are ranked on the lower end in education, not performing at grade level. I favor scholastic and academic, refocusing on the basics of Reading, Writing and Arithmetic.

Will the power of the office of State Senate, District 11 be enough to achieve these goals? Yes

What is an existing policy you would like to reform? Prop 47 and fully staff law enforcement without taxation of residents.

What is an "out there" change that you would make to state/local government policy, if you could? (For example: changing how elections work, creating a Bay Area regional government, etc.)

I would like to eliminate the radical police commision because they have made it more difficult for officers to do their job, protect the community as well as inspire good candidates from joining the force.

Personal

Tell us a bit about yourself!

How long have you lived in California? What brought you here and what keeps you here?

I was born and raised in California. I moved to San Francisco in 1999 to the Bayview from Sacramento. I put myself through nursing school and have worked as a registered nurse for the last 25 years serving my community in San Francisco. I later moved to the Marina and now live in the Western Edition. I volunteered for the two successful recalls of Chesa Boudin and the three school board members.

What do you love most about California and/or your hometown?

I love the people and the diversity here in both San Francisco and California.

What do you dislike the most about California and/or your hometown?

I dislike both what California but primarily what San Francisco has become, which is a safe haven for criminals and drug addicts. San Francisco has become a city where criminals have more rights than law abiding residents.

Tell us about your current involvement in the community (e.g., volunteer groups, neighborhood associations, civic and professional organizations, etc.)

I have two teenage children and have volunteered at their schools since their years in preschool. We have volunteered with the National Charity League and Service Corps. I have also volunteered for Children's Health Defense as well as the San Francisco Republican Party.
